For years Obama has done everything he could to aid Iran and harm our interests in the ME... I see no reason for that to change - Obama is not on our side, or the side of moderate reform muslims and he never has been. What has he done?
At every turn when given a choice, Obama has chosen to support the Political Islamist's over the Reform Muslims. Remember when millions of Iranians took to the streets in 2009 fighting for Liberty and begging for support from Obama? What did he do? Obama flatly refused to help or support true Reform Muslims in Iran opposing the Ayatollah.
"Denying the Green Revolution- The State Department cuts off funding to support Iran's democrats"; http://www.wsj.com/articles/SB10001424052748704224004574489772874564430
And who did he support in Egypt and across the Middle-East and Africa during the violence of the Arab Summer? It was not the Reformist Muslims, he ignored them and instead gave his support to the Salifists, the openly jihadist Muslim Brotherhood. He did the same thing in Libya and again when he abandoned Iraq. Obama is doing it again now by refusing to aid the Kurds fighting Isis. What hes done is give the control of the Kurds weapons to the Iranian controlled Iraqi military and is ignoring requests for aid from Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Israel ... They are fighting together while Obama stands on the side lines refusing to supply aide while Iran does as it wishes.
His actions are past the point of mistakes and coincidence...I could understand one or maybe two of these 'mistakes' ... but its long past any explanation of incompetence or a failure in tactics and strategy,,,,This support for Iran and radical Islam Is his strategy; What did he do? Forget what he says...you know a persons real goals by What They Do, not what they say.

I think Obama's aim is to keep Iran from developing nuclear weapons, while promoting peace and security in the middle east.
Perhaps "promoting peace" is such a remote concept that some people can't comprehend it.

I think you may be right. There is a lot of complaining going on in the media about negotiating with the enemy but many people seem to have forgotten that we are the reason that the revolution happened to begin with. BP being shady as they were in their dealings with Iran had caused them to view the west with extreme distrust.

It is easy; he is desperately in search of some sort of foreign policy legacy.
