My bug-out set up has two linked 40rd P-Mags. I don't own the SF 100 so I can't really compare but I've trained enough that it's not particularly cumbersome for me to use.
For comparison the 100 is a little over 12 inches long, the 60 is 8 something inches. The drum is shorter then a standard pmag but I don't have those measurements.
I don't like going sideways on the weapon, though I don't have enough experience to tell you that's a big deal.
I keep a plate carrier with 3 extra lancer mags on it. One lancer mag with the split rifle. I need to get a law folder, more Lancers, rifle plates, and a med kit.

The weapon I have my linked 40s on also has a 1k LM light on an off-set mount. The linked mags are on the same side and add no extra width, but I get it -- initially that was one of my concerns.
My plate carrier has 2 more P-Mags, two pistol mags, med kit, tourney, zip ties, utility knife and emergency calorie bars in a small pouch.
