I hear shit like this and people still wonder why I want to live on a boat, sailing around the world not tied down by stupid censorship laws.

I heard about 4Chan but not the others. Holy fuck. There's been a few hundred people killed by muslim terror attacks in March alone. But yeah #NotAll. Fuck that shit. The dystopian nanny state is coming and half of these retards seem to want it.

My ISP (iinet) hasn't banned these sites.

I noticed that Voat stopped working on Tuesday last week while using my mobile phone (on the Telstra network). I use a VPN on my mobile phone to get around the ban, though it is inconvenient.

I didn't think that Voat hosted videos, it is just a discussion site that may contain links to The Video. They surely can't say that Voat is hosting The Video, so not sure why they have banned it.

ImgTC isn't working for me at all now. It worked at lunchtime on my mobile phone, but only when not connected to the VPN.

It's true. Only the big companies: Telstra/Optus/Vodafone banned it. They also shared their information between themselves and conspired to ban sites that shared the video and even ones that did not.

As far as I know, the smaller telcos like iinet, TPG and Dodo are all not doing the censorship thing. Time to change service providers and support businesses who are on board with providing a proper service to their customers.

If I had Telstra, Optus or Vodafone as an ISP I would leave them over the ban.

They are unfortunately the only providers that do mobile networks, so we are stuck with them. TPG were planning on doing their own mobile network, they bought some of the 4G spectrum so hopefully they still will.

Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable. - JFK

Silencing, demonizing, mocking, trivializing, even criminalizing people who dare to simply discuss their problems and concerns will only lead to more incidents like this, more suffering and more violence.
