Last week sometime. Voat, 4Chan, 8Chan, BestGore, ZeroHedge, and Liveleak all got banned at the ISP level "temporarily" and "due to the extreme circumstances" until these sites agree to stop hosting The Video. Apparently we radicalise people. Interesting how Facebook isn't on the list and how all the others made it onto the list. Almost like they had a hit list and were waiting for an opportunity to attack them. Also interesting how no one ever gets banned after Muslim attacks. I guess those aren't "extreme." I guess no one was ever radicalised by Islam. I complained about it and they threatened to disconnect my service if I didn't leave them alone. I complained to the telecommunications ombudsman and he told me it's not his problem and doesn't care. I complained to the political representatives for communications and they outright ignored me. What am I supposed to do when all my peaceful, pre-approved channels to complain about injustice are worthless? "Be quiet and accept your tyrannical, dystopian nanny state, pleb."
I heard about 4Chan but not the others. Holy fuck. There's been a few hundred people killed by muslim terror attacks in March alone. But yeah #NotAll. Fuck that shit. The dystopian nanny state is coming and half of these retards seem to want it.
I noticed that Voat stopped working on Tuesday last week while using my mobile phone (on the Telstra network). I use a VPN on my mobile phone to get around the ban, though it is inconvenient.
I didn't think that Voat hosted videos, it is just a discussion site that may contain links to The Video. They surely can't say that Voat is hosting The Video, so not sure why they have banned it.
ImgTC isn't working for me at all now. It worked at lunchtime on my mobile phone, but only when not connected to the VPN.

Silencing, demonizing, mocking, trivializing, even criminalizing people who dare to simply discuss their problems and concerns will only lead to more incidents like this, more suffering and more violence.

I hear shit like this and people still wonder why I want to live on a boat, sailing around the world not tied down by stupid censorship laws.

My ISP (iinet) hasn't banned these sites.
