You'd be pleased with how much weather lingo Okies know, due to our weather guys. Inflow and outflow boundaries, couplets, updrafts, mesocyclones, inflow notches, laminar flows, etc. One station put in a million watt, dual pole radar last year and that puppy is impressive. They even show clouds of bats leaving caves in the springtime, at over 150 miles away and a monarch butterfly swarm this last fall. We also have the largest group of chasers in the nation who are linked to the TV stations. We have the Natl Severe Storms Lab just south of OKC who have an extensive amount of radars. We really are tornado aware as anywhere in the nation.

Every little bit helps. I got a feeling it’s going to be a rough season.
