Britain and France actively sought an alliance with Soviet Union for the explicit purpose of attacking Germany and Poland
What exactly was the point you were trying to convey?
Britain and France actively sought an alliance with Soviet Union for the explicit purpose of attacking Germany
And they rejected them for an "alliance" with Hitler to attack Poland.
The Soviets were no dummies, Stalin the least with his spies in the British government.
Of course did Stalin know that the British plan was to pit Germany against the SU. That was no secret, that was published by all communist media of the time. Mkay?
The point is Britain and France sought war with Germany before Germany was at war with Poland, the alleged reason British and French declaration of war.
Another point is that while Poland was “invited” in the alliance against Germany, it was expect from Poland to let in the Soviet for the attack against Germany. Poland polity refused.
So anyway you look at it, your “peace loving” British, French cabal was lusting to go to war with Germany.
Poland did
The Red Army of the civil war era was primitive equipped, while Poland had for the time modern French arms, still they barely could stop them. That is the reason the Poles talk of the “Miracle on the Vistula”.
Germany crushed them in the early phases of the war.
When they hadn’t fully mobilized and were ready.
Can you come up with one reason why Germany and Poland could not have stopped them again?
Only an idiot would wait for his enemy to marshal his whole strength to attack.
I'm sure you're a former special ops super-soldier with over 300 confirmed kills.
Your right, my speciality is detecting bull shit before stepping in.
The Gleiwitz radio-station attack is a total made up story by the allies
Alright then. What do you claim was the reason for the invasion?
Oh the old jewish tactic to repeat the already answered question.
The reason for Germany to go to war with Poland were Poland's continued and permanent aggression in addition to Poland occupying large tracts of Germany.

Why'd they let him annex the Sudetenland then? Or Memel or Austria or Saarland or the Rhineland?
See, you're ignoring the fact that trying to fight a war that your public doesn't understand is risky. It's important to make the public feel that their cause is righteous. It's a tough sell to say that German land should not be in Germany. But why should Polish land be in Germany? Especially after what happened to Czechia.
Would you trust a man who annexed a nation after promising not to do so in exchange for X-majority land returned to his nation?
I wouldn't.
FIghting their way through Poland would have given Germany plenty of time to prepare AND ensured that they were viewed by all as the defenders of Europe from communism rather than an imperialist monster trying to steal everyone's land.
You must hate Otto Von Bismark.
Considering that Bismark united Germany and defeated France, I'd say he knew more about diplomacy and war than you.
Germany was aggressive to Poland. Should Poland have invaded?
And this I think is your real reason for disliking Poland so much. I suspect that you're one of those people that believe that all the land that Prussia conquered in the 19th century should be German again despite the clear Polish majority. Though please do prove me wrong.
Danzig was German. No question. But most of the rest of western Poland was Polish majority.
If it's wrong for Czechs to rule German majority Sudetenland, it is wrong for Germans to rule Polish lands.
Hitler claimed that he only wanted to bring all German lands into a united Germany. I hold him to his word.

Because for going to war one needs an army. Armies don’t fall from the sky it takes years to build them. England had no noteworthy land forces and France was pouring (literally) the arms budget into bunkers.
While Germany was disarmed, had no armed forces to speak of, the allies were wary of the new government that promised not to bend over. The experience the allies had in Russia and Turkey were “defeated” countries pushed them out with a popular uprising made them careful.
Of course the plan was that the Soviet Union should pick the hot potatoes and fight with Germany on behalves of the allies.
The British politics tried to create such a situation since a long time. Rapallo did throw a wrench into their machinations. It lead to political assassinations, the foreign minister Rathenau was killed. Hitler and the anti-communist right were strict against any relations to the SU. Unbeknown to them enabled this treaty Germany’s rearmament.
When Hitler became chancellor the British cosied to his government. His anti-communist stance was publicly seen as a positive (in antagonizing the Soviets). They did throw some bones to him (Anglo-German Naval treaty) and secretly collaborated in defeating the communist government in Spain. Publicly did Britain already prepare for war against Germany by pushing out atrocity propaganda.
Britain's plan developed nicely, only the Soviets wouldn’t play ball. If not through there spys, so was it still relatively transparent what kind of false game Britain did play.
Germany did seek to build an anti-communist alliance. Inviting Poland and Britain into it. In the end it was just Italy and Japan who signed a relative consequence-less treaty, more a letter of intent.
The Soviets out manoeuvred the Brits and French by making temporary peace with Germany (that was always official party line). All the allied intrigue did fall back onto Britain and France. The USA was at that time already fully involved even no formal partner.

That were never Polish lands.
Wilson promised to fight for the right of self determination of the people. Means people can decide which nation they want to belong.
That principle, enshrined into League of Nations and UN charta, was immediately thrown out for the looser of the first and second World War.
Non of the territories Poland gained after the wars was defined by popular vote. Instead it was decided that Poland “need” access to sea, so a corridor was cut into German territory without any consultation of the affected people if the want become Polish.
It was decided that Danzig should not be German, without asking its citizen. Contrary any citizen of Danzig that would have declared his preference of Germany was to be immediately deported to Germany.
Self-determination of people, my ass!
The only vote that was held because the PTB expected a different result, “Polish” Silesia voted to 70 percent to remain with Germany. Poland could gain only through generous gerry-mandering by the allies.
Austria was forbidden to reunite with the rest of Germany in 1918 and after the second World War.
The Austrian vote twice, once unanimous including the communist and with a overwhelming large majority for reunification with Germany. Today it is a crime punishable up to ten years of jail (same as holocaust scepticism) to call for unification with Germany or even to mention that Austrians are Germans too.
