Yeah, because some of the content in their movies is borderline questioning the existence of God (the Matrix is a big one for this) and life as we know it.

People will always rant about them instead of just enjoying the movies for what they are.

Regardless, the Matrix has become one of the most iconic and genre bending cyberpunk sci-fi movies ever made.

Plus it was the first movie to ever create and use what is now known as "bullet time slow motion."

It was the one movie that made cyberpunk and virtual reality look cool again.

Feel like that's a major problem for movies. Not just about religion but anytime something is brought up that is contrary to what they accept and believe people get up in arms about it. I agree that you just need to enjoy the movie

It's just that religion is and has always been a major part of our everyday lives for as long as we can remember. As we rapidly grow more and more modern, people like the Wachoski brothers tend to take risks to see if they can push a movie genre or any sort of science and science fiction to it's absolute limits.

This usually causes a lot of religious and moral controversy to the point to where our, frankly, ancient religions blind us from the modernisation we've been becoming ever since science and technology have started advancing.

What? Is having an abstract imagination and vision an offensive crime?
