Definitely durian fruit.
It smells like sweaty gym socks and spoiled onions and definitely tastes just like them too.
This is a fruit no human should ever attempt to eat.

My good friend loves these. He's a weird dude.

I ordered a durian smoothie at a restaurant once (I had never had it before). The waitress asked me twice, "are you sure? Have you had it before?" I lied and said yeah I loved it. I almost barfed on the first sip. The sweet taste does not make up for the overwhelming aroma of rotting death garbage.

My family loves it. I want to throw up. The texture is like a banana or what I imagine soft shit feels like.

True story.
I spend a night with a family who lived In cave in Tunesia. The next day we were to go and check out the Star Wars set there.
Well this lady was sitting on the floor making Couscous. Now I normally dislike couscous or rice and don't eat it. But I thought, when in Rome....
So this woman was sitting there with a troth churning the shit out of that couscous. She would then grab a chunk and put it in her mouth. She would chew on it for a while and then spit it back in with the rest. (No) Rinse and repeat.
It took all of my willpower to eat that food that she had prepared and I ate it because I felt honored to be invited into her home. But fuck me.. that was by far the worst thing I have ever tasted.
TL;DR I ate pre-chewed mucus couscous. Yummiest!

What about sauces? Cooked slices? How about salsa or pico de gallo?

Have you had it fried? Like everything else, okra is great fried. Still a bit slimy, though.

Yep. These are the same people that eats chicken nugets every meal. Ketchup is the flavour for them. Sad existence really.
The only thing I'm really shocked by is that you don't like seaweed (assuming you mean nori). Seaweed is insanely addictive for me.
But what I usually notice in people who don't like seaweed is that they don't like most things with a lot of umami flavor, like mushrooms and soy sauce, either. To each his own, I guess!

I full on agree with every word of this. Some foods I just can't handle. So many of the other things in this thread I can eat. I just can not eat Lobster. I could handle sea weed against my will and also Caviar. But Lobster is atrocious. My Uncle is from Eastern Canada and he loves a boiled lobster. I just can't eat it, its so salty and tasteless.

This actually may be an allergy because your body can take time to build up enough antibodies to make a full allergic reaction. My mom has been an allergy nurse for 40+ years. Crab tastes the same to me. Actually crab tastes worse, it tastes like I have put vomit into my mouth, and obviously so many people love crab, but not me. My mom told me to avoid crab now, bc my body is telling me to not eat this. So, although you haven't had an anaphylactic reaction yet, your body my be warning you that will be coming if you keep eating this.

Same (but all seafood also), minus the boyfriends part homey.

I'll probably get downvoated into oblivion... But blue cheese. It's just so gross. :(
[–] nickinabox 0 points 6 points 6 points (+6|-0) ago
I like blue cheese when it's on stuff. It really compliments a good burger.
[–] AGirlAndHerDog 0 points 8 points 8 points (+8|-0) ago
I really really tried to like it on a burger... But it made it inedible to me.
I think blue cheese is feta's creepy uncle.

Wait until you are older, your taste buds dull down A LOT. I thought blue cheese was nasty when I was in my 20's, now that I am almost 50, pretty tasty with some fig jam on a water cracker. Can't eat it alone, but with other things it really sparks things up.

No downvoat from me, that shit is horrid!
[–] nyarlathotim ago (edited ago)
The wife and I made a blue cheese mac & cheese once, despite our best judgement. I can dig up the recipe if you want to completely ruin something great with blue cheese.
