I went to Palau with friends. We went to a Chinese restaurant. (Most places in Palau server fruit bat, just setting the scene.) I order Katsus and white rice, and my friends order fruit bat plus a few other dishes. They all get put on a round over sized lazy Susan table. The fruit bat manages to make it's way past me a few times, each time I want to spew. Honestly I think I would have eaten most fecal matter from any animal source, rather then try fruit bat.
The horror.

When visiting my husband's family in China, they insisted that I try his hometown's specialty - lamb hotpot. I am not a huge fan of lamb, but I figured that I would have to give it a try. When we walked into the restaurant, I couldn't help but to notice that there was this really gross smell... but I wanted to be polite so I didn't say anything. It took everything that I had to eat it a few bites of the hotpot. There was this gross, metallic taste to the meal. I picked something out of the pot that I thought was a vegetable and asked my husband what it was... that's when he decided to tell me that the hotpot was FILLED with lamb organs and the "vegetable" that I had was intestine. That's when it became clear that the smell and the taste were from the organs in the hotpot. I quietly excused myself from the table and ran to the bathroom. It was absolutely awful!

After traveling the past year I've figured out I like almost everything except raw tomatoes.... But Romanian food kinda sucks.
Watermelon. Guys, I've tried. I really have. I've had watermelon from three different countries. I've tried it several times during my life. I can't stomach the stuff. The only time I was able to swallow it was when I was dating this one girl, and she offered me watermelon on the first night I was over her place. The taste...texture...I don't like it.
