Except that he called her a dog. In that time, and still today, Jewish belief is that non Jews are not human. They are "as the beasts of the Earth."
Who cares that he healed his daughter? Read the rest of the chapter. He had just finished debating with some Pharisees and then left and wanted to be left alone. He probably healed her daughter because it cost him nothing and it'd get her to leave him alone.
EDIT: She was described as Greek, which is European. I think it's the same story in Matthew that describes her in detail as being Greek.
Also, he said "oh the house of Israel.". That very explicitly means ethnic Jews.
SECOND EDIT: Here is a link to a post I made on the same subject. I'd rather link to that than duplicate the whole thing from scratch.
THIRD EDIT: What fucking translation did you use where Mark called her Canaan? Did you just take the liberty to change that yourself?
All major translations of the verse all call her either Greek, a Gentile, or Syrio-phoneacian. Or some combination. So how far out of your way did you have to go to make it say Canaan?

I see Acts 1:8 as the map, Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and the ends of the earth. Also God so loved the WORLD that He gave His only begotten Son...not God so loved only the Jews that He gave His Son
