here are a couple of suggestions to help retain your and your family's privacy within the house. obviously the big guys will have ways of getting around this kinda stuff, but it makes it a lot harder.

for your home wifi router, I recommend you get a hardware device called the anonabox (www.anonabox.com). it's a small hardware device that piggybacks on to any existing internet connection and routes it through TOR (the onion routing protocol aka "the dark web") and a VPN. It will slow your connection down a little bit though. If the decrease in speed is too much for you or your fam to deal with, just a VPN alone provides reasonably good security without compromising your speed too much (the way a VPN works is that all your traffic is first routed through an intermediary server, where it's encrypted before being relayed to you).

A small piece of duct tape over the webcam on a laptop works quite well for something quick which you easily peel back when you want to use the webcam.

If I think anything else that may be useful, I'll post it here, but in the meantime, good luck man, I'm sure it can't be easy to go through what you're dealing with.

It doesn't sound to me like you have a whole lot of time or interest in DIY projects, but if you happen to be into microcontrollers, adafruit.com sells a kit for you to make your own anonabox-like router from a Raspberry Pi (essentially a small, handheld linux box) rather easily, I used it personally and found it really cool but I'm a comp sci/math nerd as you may have surmised from my username ;)

for the record, the suggestions above are NOT foolproof, but they'll give you a TON more privacy, security, and anonymity than the average user. I have a PhD in computer science and have been working in the information security field for roughly two decades, and I personally use some of the techniques above.

Black Electrical tape works best

yes, that works well. Unfortunately the average person doesn't usually have electrical tape lying around the house, duct tape is a bit more common to come across.

Well, now you have a choice. You either go full off-the-grid Amish, or you accept that you can be listened to and monitored anytime they want. Throwing out a few devices won't stop that. I lean into it and use the opportunity to occassionally preach the gospel and sing to the NSA. You know, teach them how to be decent people. Everyone needs a little lovin.

You can become Amish. Or just know the truth about the information you receive. You must pray to God to know the Truth. That is all that is needed.

Coming to terms with the truth is very much the same as the stages of grief. Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Acceptance, etc. Be patient, be empathetic and listen. It's a really hard thing to come to terms with how fucked up reality truly is and it takes time. Be there for her and be supportive.

Think of this as a preview exercise for what the entire country will be going though. When I wrapped my head around 9/11 I was physically sick. The end of the 9/11 Architects and engineers documentary has a segment of psychologists discussing this very difficult process and how to help people through it: (here) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xb5Kdw4D77k

Yes - a preview indeed. She's definitely not ignorant to everything, and has been at least partially awake since September when she finally said something like

"OMG it's all a lie - everything right? It's all one big lie."

I hugged her and we had a good laugh as I said "Do you need a glass of water to rinse down that big red pill you just took?" That's why I was surprised by the sudden change and denial.

I think the normies are going to be much more difficult, but maybe not as long as we make sure they still have 4 bars.....seems that's what matters most.

Textbook Cognitive Dissonance. Give her a little time, she'll calm down.

Sounds familiar. My sister in law will not have an important conversation unless we are away from any electronic device. I should have never told her Satellites can reads lips in the open. I explained that Hildabeast spent so much time in the woods for that reason.
