Uh, no, because there is no right answer... Actually it would depend on the workload. And VMware best practices explain that as long as you aren't maxing out the host processing then the ratio you're using is fine. However as a best practice if you're not able to do a baseline test I always just use a 1 to 1 logical processor to virtual process ratio to be on the safe side. Then you can deal with vm sprawl which ALWAYS occurs. Oh and as far as homes go, we have two in Mexico for vacations, and rent homes and 6 here in the states of which 4 are used as rent homes. So I wouldn't assume, but sounds like you're not doing so bad.... ill have to segway over and go boating so we can argue in person because that's something I have yet to make a decision on buying...
