I learned about the TPP from reddit; what interests me is how many of those sorts of posts are being removed in relation to the ones that make it through?

The ones that have made it through have had shady things done to them. The first thread will begin gathering momentum, and then they will kill it with "editorialized title", or some excuse. It will be posted again, and when it starts getting traction it too will be killed, and they will once again put up the previous post. It is now much older and it won't make it to the front page again. It is just a sly way of accomplishing the same thing, and gives them a defense.

They also point to these hamstrung posts and say that no one really cares, because they aren't making it to the top...

Interesting. I didn't realize that was going on either! I'd love to see a breakdown of the analytics of posts, including dev/mod action with them.

Transparency though, ha. That will never happen there again. I'm happy (for the moment) with the new goat overlord.

It's okay, you aren't alone.

I just want to point out that the voat one was 14 hours old and the Reddit one was less than an hour old. Reddit definitely censors their content, but in order to prove that you need to make sure the evidence you provide is accurate.

Has anyone given a reason for deleting this?

Can we establish something? This has nothing to do with reddit, and everything to do with the subreddit and the users.

This isn't an administrative decision on the part of reddit.

I can make a subverse on Voat where I ban anything related to TPP. That would be fine. And you'd be an idiot for coming back to it. There are other news subreddits that allow the TPP to be discussed.

I know the thing we're supposed to notice is the number of upvotes one has compared to the other, but did anyone else notice how much cleaner and more legible the Voat post is?

This is biased towards Voat. The Reddit post had only been available for an hour, while the Voat post had been there since 14 hours. I don't expect the post got much attention anyway, usually TPP related news is better in /r/technology, /r/pcgaming, and /r/pcmasterrace. But at least make it a fair poll before trying to claim people on Reddit don't care about TPP.

Disclaimer: I by no means endorse Reddit, or any of it's decisions. I hate Reddit. I just think it isn't right to try and pass skewed results.
