This is a really great question I wish we'd actually get an answer to. It's news so why not go there? I suppose it could fall under the rule against politics in /r/news, but at least tell someone that when you remove their post.
Anything removed should require an explanation and the specific rule that was violated.

Transparency and Reddit are not ideas that go together.

Surprisingly (or not?) it hasn't been deleted from /r/canada.
Edit: Also, that thread doesn't show when searching for "tpp" but does when searching "canada tpp"
Edit1: This thread is still going in /r/politics

But are any of us really shocked? Reddit has been actively removing anything TPP related for MONTHS now. Would hate for the masses to get wind of what capitol hill is up to. But I guess thats what happens when a military base monopolizes an entire website.
Disgusting. Deplorable. And I'm glad we have voat.

i don't actually understand why they are censoring it

To the extent and in the manner they are doing it, the only logical conclusion is the mods have somehow sold out to those that want TPP passed. I don't know if that means money exchanged hands or what, but people know big sub mods have real media power and they are utilizing that fact.

What's sad is that Reddit was the place where I learned about these things because they were not in the news! If it hadn't been for Reddit, I might never have learned about SOPA.

It's the circle of life.
I feel the same way about Vice News

Reddit's removal of TPP related news was one of my biggest grievances with them. Seeing the opposite happen here speaks volumes about this site and where it's values lie.

I don't think that is really fair since Reddit's was posted an hour before and Voat's was posted 14 hours before.
Of course if you go look now you will notice that Reddit's post has over 1,500 upvotes while on Voat it has 992.

Now I see. Thanks for the clarification. I don't really use Reddit.

You should have posted to /r/news and taken the pictures the same amount of time after posting.
