This hurts so bad, the strength of the bonds we create with our dogs is amazing. It's almost very much like losing a relative, we just have to be content to follow them in spirit. I still shed a tear every time I remember my canine companion, my vet made a housecall and she died at home, almost two years ago.

Losing a family pet is always tough. My condolences. Time heals all wounds.

Sorry for your loss man, my favorite dog ever was a DKC boxer, she was too damn smart for her own good sometimes.

I feel you. We had to put our Bernese Mountain Dog to sleep a few months ago.

Had a boxer mix as kid. Great dog. Never easy to deal with death. Sorry for your loss. Sounds like you have lots of great memories together.

Dogs were specifically designed and engineered by humans over tens of thousands of years to be companions, that's why it breaks my heart so much to see them homeless and unloved. Be strong OP. When you are ready, consider adopting a new adventure buddy.

I've had my pup since he was 6 weeks old. He turns 10 in March. I cant even begin to imagine the pain of losing him. He made my life worth living and made me care for something other than myself. Be strong and know you gave your dog the best possible life it could have. Sorry for your loss
