I've had my pup since he was 6 weeks old. He turns 10 in March. I cant even begin to imagine the pain of losing him. He made my life worth living and made me care for something other than myself. Be strong and know you gave your dog the best possible life it could have. Sorry for your loss

Dogs were specifically designed and engineered by humans over tens of thousands of years to be companions, that's why it breaks my heart so much to see them homeless and unloved. Be strong OP. When you are ready, consider adopting a new adventure buddy.

You loved her and cared for her. You held her at the end. You will carry her in your memory forever. She had a good life and will bless you. Sorry for your loss.

It is very difficult, even though you know we normally survive our dog. I hope you can go through that soon.

Never thought you'd fall in love with a farting, drooling, tail-chasing mongrel, huh? So much to learn from good dogs...

Be the person your dog thinks you are.

I’m sorry for your loss.

We had to put down our family dog in October. He was 13...I was right there with him when he went. Cancer came up quick and we were able to give him a good final month with his pain meds and the steroids but it got to the point where it was time.

He was one of the first beings outside my immediate family I loved. He joined our family at an age for me where it was really good to have him around. He faced the cancer like a fucking champ.

A part of me died with him....I miss him very much.
