there are services online that allow you to receive sms. signup for twitter using a vpn and alt e-mail, and give them a temporary number that can be used to verify your account.

even if you dont really like them. google voice serves a great purpose. it can be setuip to receive actual phone calls when needed and just ignored the rest of the time.

I dont have it installed on my phone. but i do constantly give out that number to all the shit that requires a telephone number. Cable bill... google voice, insurance... google voice, electric company... google voice.... so on and so forth. Keeps these fucks out of my life and lets me access their shit when i want to.
