Huh. I just read up on the House of Tudor. Turns out they're Welsh. I thought they were a branch of the Lancasters.

And the relevance of the predecessors to the house of Windsor being German (though Germany didnt exist then), is that there were tremendous ties among the blood related rulers of the uk, germany, and Russia pre WWI thatgave rise to the strong windsor nazi sentiment before wwii.
