Worrying about things you can't control won't help. I get annoyed at weird sounds too... What are you doing to help your health? I don't want to be rude or demeaning, but the simple fact that you're letting a blue-haired ex-girlfriend take your loyal, best friend away from you tells me that you're absolutely insane. If you bought the dog and pay for its food, its yours. Tell her to kick mud.
Again, what are you doing to bolster yourself, your health, mentally, spiritually and physically? Or are you just sitting around whining to internet strangers? I'm not one likely open my mailbox very often, so here it is, then I'm out... The system is fucked up and you're a part of it. Do your best, ask forgiveness. Healthy inputs, healthy outputs. If your obsessions aren't helping, they're useless and you should get replace them with helpful ones. You've got a long road ahead to get better, most people do, but you can get there if you don't give up or give in to desperate notions. Now go do a bunch of pushups.
