The brilliance of this version is he doesn't overplay Smollett's gayness -- but when he says "stop, this is Prada" and you know exactly what he means. And he says to the Nigerian brothers pretending to be white racists: "what is this 1619?" 1619 is the year slaves were first brought to America. Brilliant.
