Give me a break with the semantics. An atheist is still considered jewish as long as his mother was born jewish. Being jewish is being born from a jewish mother.
Bernie is a communist. As a young man , he lived in Israel and was part of the Kibbutz movement. He lived in an Israeli communist "commune" where he was to practice the enlightment of owning no possessions and sharing them with the rest of the commune. He was suppose to physically labor as part of the Marxist call for an universal working class, except Bernie refused to work and was so antagonistic to the other utopians, that they booted him from the kibbutz.
This is Bernie in a nutshell, he wants everyone else's possessions and property, but he refuses to toil in labor to earn it for himself. Do you see the fallacy of his thinking?
