Yes. It takes a bit of digging and understanding history in the Near East prior to and during Jesus life.
Basically “Jews” aka Pharisees were “Edomites” from the tribe of Esau (Jacobs older brother) who invaded Israel while the Israelites aka Hebrews (from the tribe of Jacob) were in captivity in Babylon.
After the Hebrews came back, they again segregated and though they shared common history and faith there were major differences hence why the NT mentions Pharisees and Saducces so often. In fact the Pharisees who borrowed heavily from Babylonian religion are the ones who inspired modern day Judaism.
Basically modern day Jews are the Pharisees that Jesus hated and he wasn’t one of them as he believed in the ancient Torah that wasn’t adulterated

You people neee to stop drinking the cool aid. Christianity became dominant because it was picked up by thr romans because it was the best way to keep people following the commands of ceaser and it was s good tax base becsuse jesus gave authority to the state on earth. The side bonus was christians had large families got along with their neighbors and they made great warriors and killing machines because they could kill and feel good aboutbit knowing if they died they would be forgiven and go to heaven. Also living a christian lifestyle brings about a pretty good life if you follow jesus teachings your will prosper but if you live in japan and follow their traditions you will also prosper. Good systems. You are going and tslking about jew and hebrew tribes from 2000 years ago it makes you christians sound crazy.
