If he suspects its a large fish, why a wels catfish as opposed to a sturgeon. As far I can find, wels catfish are not found in Scotland. Sturgreon are found in loch Ness. The fish wels catfish and common sturgeon are comparable in size (3+ meters). Some species of sturgeon can grow even larger 6+ meters.
