I live within an hour from Ft. Bragg, a little farther from a few other bases and I see Military traffic on a regular basis, jets to helicopters, that is until 2 weeks ago, nothing at all. Needless to say this is highly unusual. Something is definitely screwy. Can’t wait to find out what.
i live in north east texas between Dallas and Shreveport, LA. no bases nearby. last weekend, both sat & sunday, there was helicopter traffic traveling Northish to Southish in groups on and off all day long. very low clouds both days so i never saw a thing. highly unusual. can't remember it every happening before. we're out in the country so there's not much noise of any kind to confuse it with. headed for the border???

Be sure to salute and sing the National Anthem!
Good advice. I don't think I gave anything away. Tens of thousands of people watched these guys go by, and I waited to post about it until well after they were gone (similar to the delay that POTUS Schedule uses to report on the whereabouts of AF1 - which is a far higher level of VIP transport). Still, the advice is good. No harm intended, and I can't imagine that any security was breached.
If this looked 'operational' (offensive in nature), I wouldn't have posted anything.

That's a fair challenge, but I only had time to run outside when I heard the thunder passing overhead. No video. (And, for security purposes, I don't think I'd post video even if I had it.)
Osprey is a strange looking craft, hanging out behind the other two helicopters.
