You might want to open up that circular saw and see if it's okay. As I said, major brands cut corners and omit features to meet the Walmart price demands. That is a fact. I would never buy a tool at Walmart, no matter what the brand is.
Craftsman used to be exclusive to Sears. None of those other stores were around when I was younger and buying my first tools.

I know that Craftsman tools were exclusively sold by Sears. Sears used to have a nice big thick catalogue too. Times change. Sears is dying. So Sears sold the rights of the Craftsman tool line to other retailers.
The Circ Saw from Wally World is all good.
I also have bought Craftsman Tools from Wally World as well. Lifetime Warranty. Same tools as back in the day.
The only thing different about Craftsman power tools today and back in the day, is the outer the casings are no longer pop aluminum metal due to new laws of shock risks and power tools
