It seems like a good book and I will certainly have to read it in order to develop a better understanding of things in life and how they work.

A good book, as is his "The Temper of Our Time", which is more general purpose essays, and includes an interesting piece on the Negro/desegregation issue. (It is worth remembering that many people on the centrist/liberal side of the political spectrum, such as Hoffer, were able to realize that racial integration was not an automatic panacea for the ills of the black community, and that blacks were better off creating their own independent institutions rather than being thrust into White society).
