I think what is needed is anonymous voting in both the house and senate. It would remove the need to vote along party lines.

Not to be critical but that is a terrible idea w a capital T. Voters need to know if their representative is doing what they campaigned on.

What we really need is politicians who work for free.

While I appreciate the thought, part of how we know who needs to be voted out, is that we, the people who vote for our representatives, senators, etc, know how they in turn voted on our behalf.

Yet funny thing is many #ROTTEN_LAZY_OVER_STUFFED polititions are elected for multiple terms! IMHO PEOPLE like @speakerpalosi, @senschumer, @maxinewaters have done little over the years to #TRUELY_IMPROVE the daily lives of their constituants!!!!

I think Joe needs to switch parties he is very conflicted with the agenda they have and this SOTU speech he showed it by standing and clapping several times.

If he understood the terrible folly of being anti-second amendment, he could almost pass for a republican.

If the Dems continue to alienate this senator, then perhaps he will switch parties.

Why he hasn’t is beyond me - gotta be some pictures out there or a 20 year old story where he looked at a girl across the street and smiled or something.

Nooooo, it is because when you ask a person which party they belong to, and they are 60 yrs or older, you have to say 'D' because their parents were Ds and they 'have always voted for Ds'!

There is not any way you can make an 'older' person understand that Ds aren't anything like Joe Manchin!! They will argue to the 'ends of the earth' that they are. They watch TV and they say so, too!

You can 'never' persuade them!

Immediately cease all Lobby funding, gifts to Congress and House, Insider info, ETC. That is who they are owing to..Civil servants do not commonly become multi-millionaires. Required all Elected to have ALL financial documents audited who have become wealthy after elected.. The entire OBAMA cartel are now super wealthy.

West Virginia is a conservative state, so it makes sense that Machin is going to applaud Trump's accomplishments at the SOTU; its because he has to sell himself to the population of West Virginia.

He was re elected. So Manchin wasn't applauding for political purposes except maybe to send a clear message to the socialist Dems and Nancy.
