Dude, at this point... I'm just glad I have decent water. There's so much crap in every environment. The entire inside of my car is plastic.

Most disposable nappies contain some pretty horrible stuff including endocrine disrupters, ditto pads and probably tampons (haven't looked into tampons. Organic alternatives to all three exist, but reusable alternatives made from cotton might be better.

Babies put everything in their mouth so try not to give them plastic toys. That includes soft toys made from polyester etc... Microfiber (super soft fake fur) on toys and blankets is the WORST, on the cheaper ones you can see it shedding but they all do. It can ingested or inhaled.

I used to too. Especially pens. I try my best to avoid nasty stuff but it's changing one thing at a time that works best.

Relax. Enjoy life. Stress will kill you faster than plastic. ;)

The benefits of wild caught seafood outweigh the risks in my opinion. As far as the other plastic sources, I’ve slowly reduced my exposure. Most of my kitchen is plastic free. I can’t help the products I buy, but some come in glass and sometimes I’ll pay extra for that.

When in season, use the local farmer’s market. The quality is much higher there than the supermarket. Plus, you can ask around until you find the farmer with the best practices.

I get a quarter of a cow from my local far once a year. It’s shrink wrapped in plastic, but the cow is grass fed and I doubt the plastic is leaching too much in the freezer. I would love for it to be wrapped in old fashioned butcher paper, but we do the best we can, right? :)

plastic is good. even living organisms can produce plastics and resins. starch or milk, eggs can become plastic. only some kinds and variations of plastics are bad, and recycled plastic is bad because there are dirt chemicals and impurities introduced everytime it gets recycled. always a small but siginificant amount of poisonous plastics and other additives finds its way into the recyclate.

many plastics are only poisonous because of the addition of the cheapest chemical plasticizers BPA, phatalates. they could use citric acid instead , but its too expensive and hard to manufacture for them. theres always a less harmful variety of the same plastic, but its way more expensive and rare. then there are polymer formulations which in itself are made of harmful chemicals.

without plastic or resins nothing works. there are no alternatives. only other better plastics, or maybe vulcanized rubber which isnt plastic and cant be recycled.

before you stop using plastics, know that varieties of glass, metal alloys, natural fibers, waxes, saw dust, geopolymers are just as harmful as the "plastics" are. almost all industrial produced materials are hazardous because they use add poisons for efficiency. you could at least name the polymer in question instead of referring to everything as just "plastic".

I love cotton and natural matherials. And, look into wool. It’s amazing and is temperature regulating.
