I would not travel to anywhere in Europe right now. Too much change of American tourists getting shot, killed, or kidnapped.

European here! The place is a fucking warzone. Rabid dogs plague the countryside. The streets are full of gangs who rob, rape and murder anyone who gets in their way. Yesterday, I got wind of news of a hanging in the town. The victim was a tourist, the town folk don't take kindly to their kind. I can still remember the screaming and the hollering as he was pelted with salmon until his eyes bled. All American tourists should be extra vigilant, as many of the gangs believe you have gold.
There's also a half man half weasel known as "Kratadaga" who feeds on the blood of humans. He's got a walking stick and he likes to sing ABBA songs. He hangs out in bars and impresses people with his vast knowledge of Bulgarian history, before luring them to his lair.

Whatever, you won't find me there which is probably okay with you. I'm okay with that too.

Plenty of cash is the number 1 thing. I have also noted that no one has pointed out the safety concerns around this. I assume that the Greeks know about this advice/necessity and DO NOT imply anything negative about the Greeks as a people but crime is a human thing and desperation can be a huge driver in decision making.

No no, he's fine. Sight seeing in darkness is the best.

Haha yes. Its that damn tarantino film! Stuck in my mind since chidhood.
Bring all the Euros you might possibly need with you. Getting money is the main concern. Also, stay away from the demonstrations.

I wish i could afford a holiday to Greece this year for that reason. I feel that by just going and spending cash i could be helping my Greek comrades.
