I think anyone calling themselves a "goddess" in the first place is extremely narcissistic. I for one wouldn't be caught dead calling myself that.

Well, that really falls right in line with their whole 'look at me' culture. Thanks, Tumblr.

I don't think I've ever seen a thin girl call herself anything like that. I guess you don't have to when you can count on getting compliments from people other than yourself.

It absolutely is. Despite the username, I don't actually go around telling people that I'm a goddess... but fat women seem to have this delusion that they deserve to be worshiped, which is insanely narcissistic (and also completely inaccurate.) There are plenty of women in the world who actually do deserve praise for being strong, intelligent, gorgeous, and for accomplishing great things. Butterballs with shit attitudes and insatiable appetites don't exactly fall into the "goddess" category.

I do frequently talk about how I have the body of a Greek god. I'll own this one. But I back it up by having the body of a Greek god so these hams can fuck off.

"Who is this Goddess Patty they speak of" I thought

"I should probably get some context on who they mean" I thought

"What the fuck is this creature" I thought. "Big mistake" I thought

Athena is a goddess. Have you ever seen a fat Athena statue? No. I didn't think so. (I googled it just to make sure)

Maybe it derives from the thought that they believe Ancient Greeks valued heavier women. (More fat equated to more money). So they probably assumed that the gods and goddesses had to be well-fed too. Not the case though, many, if not all, gods and goddesses were extremely athletic. Artemis was the Goddess of Hunting, if I remember correctly. And I've seem statues of Aphrodite baring a six-pack. So the bottom line is they're just delusional.

As a goddess, I couldn't agree more.

I have a friend who calls me Persephone. Can I be a goddess, too?
