Growing up, we were always a Nintendo household. My grandmother bought me a NES and a Gameboy. Then my sister saved up her money for a SNES, which gradually became a family system as tends to happen. Then for Christmas we got a N64.

Then I got much more into PC gaming.

But while I was at college I ended up buying a Playstation 2 and a Gamecube on the cheap a year before the new consoles launched.

Then I graduated and got a job. I got an XBox 360 as a graduation gift, waited in line for a Wii at a midnight release, and then eventually got a PS3 with no games before they completely phased out the backwards compatibility. So I own a 60 gig PS3 with very few games, just because it's nice to go back and play old PS2 games from time to time.

Recently I bought a Wii U for Bayonetta 2 and Hyrule Warriors.

I don't think I'd change anything.

  1. Atari 2600
  2. NES
  3. SNES (my parents actually bought a Genesis for the family, but my older brother told them they got the wrong system so they returned it for an SNES)
  4. Playstation (friends had an N64 so this decision was the best for me)
  5. Playstation 2
  6. Xbox 360
  7. Playstation 4

Also there was always a PC in our home since the mid-80s so I have always been a PC sort of guy

I'll just give you a list of all the consoles I've owned. I don't think I'd change anything either looking back. Except get a SNES. I didn't get one of those until a few years ago. Oh and I wish I had a Gamecube back in the day as now Gamecube games are pretty expensive.

1.NES

2.Sega Megadrive

3.Sega Master System II (as it was known here)

4.N64

5.Sega Saturn

6.Sega Dreamcast

7.PS1

8.PS2

9.Xbox

10.Xbox 360

11.Wii

In terms of handhelds I've owned a Game Boy, Game Boy Colour, skipped the GBA, and have a Nintendo DS.

After the PS2 my brother handled the Sony side of things and got himself a PS3, 4, and Vita. He also got a Wii U. He also has a 3DS.

Damn I miss some of those old consoles.

I was really jealous of my friends Master System. I loved Fantasy Zone!

  1. ZX81
  2. Commodore +4
  3. Amiga 500
  4. Amiga 600
  5. Amiga 1200
  6. PS1
  7. N64
  8. Dreamcast
  9. PS2
  10. XBOX
  11. XBOX360
  12. Gaming PC
  13. XBOX ONE

(Handhelds = Gameboy & PSP)

I'm happy with my choices! Maybe a C64 would have been good.... But my +4 was underrated and had some good games...

Master System 2

Commodore 64

Genesis + Mega CD

Since then I've only been playing on PC

What would I do differently? What I feel I missed out on was JRPGs. Never played a single one of them. This may be the dumbest question ever, but do JRPGs play a bit like The Stick of Truth? Because if they do then I would welcome some suggestions.

  1. N/A
  2. NES and Sega Master System
  3. Genesis
  4. Playstation (I played a lot of 64 but I can't actually remember if I owned one.)
  5. PS2, Dreamcast, Gamecube
  6. PS3, 360, Wii
  7. Nothing as of yet. Switched to mostly PC gaming now.

I kind of wish I had owned an SNES, but I'm perfectly okay playing those games now. I probably appreciate them more these days anyways. I do wish I had never sold my Sega Master System though.

If we include handhelds I've had almost everything. Except an N-Gage. Or a Vita.
