A possible 3rd option that GAB could offer to get an invite code:
If a person is visiting from a 1st world IP address, from a major 1st world ISP (not VPN), they could have the option of going through 3 different captcha tests (pictures, words, math), and then GAB can send them an invite code.
This would filter out the bots and 3rd world spammers willing to manually do captchas all day for cheap.

App hasn't worked properly for ages for me. Just doesn't load anything.
Then it did, now it doesn't.
Can't say I'm too fussed. Voat is much better. You get more in depth information here, Gab like twitter didn't allow for the long posts.
Plus a lot of Gab was just Neo-Nazis accusing each other if being Jews. It was kind of autistic at some points. I mean there's nothing wrong with calling out a shill but Gab often had straight up paranoia about it. Voat I find is much more of a co-operative community.

I always loaded from the app. When I got "Unknown Error", I assumed some random person from Gab shot up a mosque.
Now what am I supposed to do with the balloons and moon bounce I bought to celebrate?

Yeah it's a red flag when they ask for permission to apps they don't need.
I.e. "music player app needs access to your camera" oh really?

voat had the same problem, ...well maybe still has attacks, shills etc but the hazing and voat immune system seems to be working for the moment ... the Nigerian, Jews, Paki and Turk immigration was going to be an issue from day one, import Niggers get Nigger problems

Oh, so (((Gab))), after having kicked out people who point out the jew, are having spam problems? Let me find my microscopic violin.

When you are receiving flak, you are over the target. GAB obviously poses a serious threat. I am on it and fully support the geeks trying to keep it alive, well and thriving as much as possible.

Yeah, that'll help.

Maybe they think it will feel more exclusive and attract users that way and some free press coverage. I did check it out a while back, but they ousted Patrick Little so haven’t been back since, not that I even follow him that much.

I hang out there all the time and can say that there was a noticeable drop off in the platform's quality when Little was kicked off. It wasn't so much him, as the fact that it was obvious the platform wasn't who they said they were so people just up and left (may as well go back to real Twitter over Twitter-lite I suppose).

What a way to grow the platform...

There will never be many normies on gab, and it has as many retards as twitter, percentage-wise. There are better forums. And the thing is, Torba will sell it out once he gets a good offer. He comes from a marketing background.
