Can't stand a touchpad, too imprecise. Did have a trackball once, didn't like it. Used that stupid little orange clitoris nestled in the keys on a laptop, hated it.
I was pounding on keyboards long before Xerox invented the GUI, and being right-handed disliked having to put down the pencil to use the 10-keypad. So, when I began to use a mouse I trained my left hand to mouse, but do not swap the buttons. One benefit is that people avoid using my work station.

I find that touchpads are miserable to use. The only time I'd ever use one is if I had to work on a laptop without enough (or any) USB ports. Otherwise, give me a mouse any day of the week.

iMac's 2nd gen. Magic Trackpad is great.
