Well since we're (apparently) exchanging life stories:

My Bladder nearly tore open after a bad interaction between some of my meds left me unable to pee for 16 hours.

My supposed caretaker stole all of my money and threatened me when i found out and refused to let him lock me in the house. He had guns, and we lived under the same roof.

The courts let him get away with that and lock me out of my own home. I spent the next four months homeless.

While I was homeless I: Was attacked and forced out of my spot by Communist "protestors" with pipes in the middle of the night.

Had some antsy guy tell me he was going to shoot me because he didn't notice me walking towards him.

Was apparently nearly mugged several times in my sleep.

Survived off a liter or two of soda and some crackers for weeks after the hurricanes hit.

And I now live in the bad part of town, with a trap house right down the street, and all the crime you could want.

But kinda like you said he got used to it, but it was no joking situation he said it was all business triple check equipment and check it again and check your coworkers too.

So you knew this already, yet trained military men cracking jokes after being stuck in a pod for four days suddenly set off your bullshit alarm?

Im really not questioning those guys mental toughness. The dudes following ww2 and korean war etc were tough tough men who were literaly the kings of the planet up until the end of 60s and going into the 70s when liberal and jews took over the agenda.

And sorry for your misfortunes that sounds like some shitty stuff that happend. Again i agree people humans can adapt to some very very crazy dangerous situations. I dont put the moon in that catagory. It might not be qs dangerous as deep sea divers who are welding at extremly deep depths. I dont think from the videos i saw that they were acting appropriate for the insane level of danger they were in with zero chance of rescue if one of a million things went wrong. And all the technology was first time fi4st use and not tested. I read the book to engineer is human and the amount of deaths that trains caused through trial and error was crazy. Brixges falling down engines exploding etc. But 6 times they went and no one died. The guys died on the ground but none of the actual missions. Anyways we gonna probably just disagree and agree to disagree. But back to you ya that sucks hope things are better these days.
