I mean am i supposed to respond to you calling me neurotic and not having been in life threatening situations? What does that prove?

So you haven't been in danger? Let me tell you how it is, then:

You go through the stages of grief the first time. You lose sleep the second time. You just calmly accept the situation from the third time on. Especially if you got yourself into it.

Are you literaly a nasa employee it doesnt make sense.

I'm just Übermensch.

Been in a fights a couple nothing crazy. I ran from a gas station once because i saw the guy had a gun in his back waist line. Went to a house and called the police. I went to palastein for a basketball camp i basicsly had to lie to get to go and the isrealis would not have been happy if they knew. Looking back that shit was a little more risky then i thought. Ive been to mexico multiple times lived in saltillo, but 2002 so not nearly as bad as these days but i wouldnt call itsafe. I played in a basketball league in one of the houston wards thats fucking crazy being a 6 2 white guy. Been in jail a couple times drunk tank stuff never got weird or scary. Over all nope nothing like combat or anything. But i did live next to a deep sea welder and he told me some stories and that shit is no joke. But kinda like you said he got used to it, but it was no joking situation he said it was all business triple check equipment and check it again and check your coworkers too.

Well since we're (apparently) exchanging life stories:

My Bladder nearly tore open after a bad interaction between some of my meds left me unable to pee for 16 hours.

My supposed caretaker stole all of my money and threatened me when i found out and refused to let him lock me in the house. He had guns, and we lived under the same roof.

The courts let him get away with that and lock me out of my own home. I spent the next four months homeless.

While I was homeless I: Was attacked and forced out of my spot by Communist "protestors" with pipes in the middle of the night.

Had some antsy guy tell me he was going to shoot me because he didn't notice me walking towards him.

Was apparently nearly mugged several times in my sleep.

Survived off a liter or two of soda and some crackers for weeks after the hurricanes hit.

And I now live in the bad part of town, with a trap house right down the street, and all the crime you could want.

But kinda like you said he got used to it, but it was no joking situation he said it was all business triple check equipment and check it again and check your coworkers too.

So you knew this already, yet trained military men cracking jokes after being stuck in a pod for four days suddenly set off your bullshit alarm?
