From https://www.healthline.com/health-news/oxycontin-losing-its-luster#4 "For those suffering from severe or chronic pain, including those living with cancer, opioids may be the only solution at the moment."
Also, they are not the only ones selling opioids. Not to mention that companies selling alcohol have a lot more deaths to take responsibility for, if we go down that rabbit hole. And those are often not severely ill and therefore in need of painkillers, and with potentially an already weakened metabolism.
Afaik, you need a prescription in the US to get opioids legally. As Purdue introduced pills which turn into gummy when trying to crush to inject them, that means there must be some distributors or doctors who do the shady parts. Those need to be persecuted, not chemical companies which produce medicine some people actually need. And as long as states allow marketing medicine to doctors, to keep them away from competing products, companies like Purdue have to play along.
Are you faggots still going to reddit?
reddits to heavily moderated to have any bias centered in reality and only really represents a fringe population of idiots, then those idiots have to be spread all over the world, so its not like a concentrated bunch of idiot americans, just a scattered mess of communists, muslims, and JIDF

Why should they make note of it?
