Actually an entirely fair point. Extremism is not actually inherently bad in my opinion, however, issues do arise when it becomes authoritarian in nature.
As for a definition, I would define it as the following: A school of thought which advocates for and attempts to incite violence against individuals and groups based on illogical and authoritarian motives.
As an aside, my primary area of focus personally is actually left-wing extremism, which is an often neglected and highly under-reported area of extremism.

Your focus is left wing extremism huh? Underreported? I guess you think BLM, Antifa, Occupy and the whole
of the lefty ball of bullshit is ignored. The last thing you want is free speech, for anyone other than your batshit
crazy liberal progressive retards.
The first thing you did upon coming to a subverse with a topic was to immediately start insulting me and blatantly violating rules. Western society also has a concept of "rule of law", which apparently you don't understand. Your personal opinions couldn't mean less to me, it's the fact that you appear to have zero interest in the topic at hand and are more interested in creating a controversy. You will notice that I left this comment up.
