This is sadly fairly normal in the industry. They are doing everything they can to kill American Tech and one of the first steps is to replace our skilled workers with morons.

I wouldn't know about the internal culture of the large companies. I'm a contractor and shoe horned into doing exactly what my contract states (I'd be breaking the contract if I worked extra hours, for example). I see my client downsizing their actual employees and hiring on contractors (even rehiring downsized employees as contractors) to avoid the extra charges that having us on the payroll would entail (like having to pay health insurance).

Most of what looks like laziness from my point of view comes from the contractors who work by the book. Sometimes this causes excessive downtime and web surfing (like me) which can lead into being slow as shit (like me). But, the clients themselves have a list of other things getting in the way, like a fucked up tech catalog, or reorganization, or them early retiring the only person that actually knew how anything worked.

Quite honestly, I'm not pointing at the jew when it comes to the tech issue (more pajeets and the clintons). But, when you have a full team operating under budget (as was stated in that article) then fire the skilled workers; HR (jews) is purposefully sabotaging the company.

Fascinating. Some of the smartest people I know also used to work for IBM. Most large companies have a mix of both smart and dumb people.

Thing of it is, the folks I know no longer work for IBM. Some were laid off and replaced by pajits. Others were laid off when IBM sold the ThinkPad line to those janky-ass, cheapskate chinks at Lenovo. They used to make those things in Poughkeepsie, New York. Now they're made by robots in Shenzhen.

Fuck IBM. I remember when I was graduating from college and they were at an open job fair. They wouldn't even take my resume as they told me they were only interested in female and minority graduates. This was over 20 years ago

Apple is doing the same exact thing. A couple of my friends who were exec's got "laid off" and replaced by younger dudes. They were there for something like 20 and 26 years with great records, but somehow they got nixed, while other stayed.

Let any company employe whoever they want for whatever reason. If a company only wants to employ young white men ages 25 to 45, fine. If another wants a rainbow workplace, also fine.

Not sure what to think about this. In a "pure" system we should not have age based law. However, ordering her to "lie" is the crime.

correction: Ordering her to falsify information to the Department of Labor is one crime.
Obeying that order is another crime.

She may or may not have proof of her supervisor's crime, but the Department of Labor has proof of her crime. I have little sympathy for her treacherous lying ass.

This has been going on for 30 years. My uncle was let go when he turned 50, in 1995.

I also have an older cousin (old enough to be my Uncle, too) who worked there and he told me the same thing. They are classic for trying to screw people out of retirement. Have a good lawyer if you get work at these public IT firms.

My spouse has applied multiple times to no avail.

We do have a damn good lawyer.
