She's working furiously, she tells me. It was her that chose to do the two blocks, knowing when the work was due. She starts losing points on Friday, so we will see. I'm awaiting a response to find out if we can fly over it. It's not far from the airport. Still, she has work to do.

I'd make the trip by myself but I've not driven in a while and there's some risk involved.

All jokes aside, it sounds like she will learn a few lessons and you're handling it well, of course. Legends are not created by having no problems but how they are dealt with. Maybe that's why I never achieved her levels. Glad to see your assessing risk factors and planning well.

I know you don't care for links, but here's a good song just to groove to, no message implied just a little Traffic :

Oh yeah, I checked again, it's 11 inches not feet.

Yeah, it'll be a fun day - if she gets her work done. She's recently asked for a spot of help with what is currently due, so it's not looking good. We shall see and it's a pretty firm no, if it isn't done. She will not be able to bat her eyes, pout, or reason her way out of it. I hope...

I find the disk kinda fascinating as fluid dynamics is really not that well understood. I'd love to see it from above, but there's work that must be done. Tomorrow is Thursday, so J has to be in Augusta. I could probably have her drive me down, but I'd not make it back home until Friday. I'm pretty sure they won't burn the house down in my absence. Pretty sure.

My son is still here, but he can't actually be trusted to keep things at a dull roar. No, he's thrown giant parties here in my absence. Which is why I have cameras and locked doors... Maturity eludes him! Nah, they will be fine.

We will see how it goes and play it by ear. We may actually have a bit of a snow storm tomorrow. I am unlikely to risk riding, or driving, in a storm. Any major impacts could reset my recovery. I'll be damned if I want to do it all over again.

Also, I'm not sure what year that Telecaster that Steve's playing is. I think it might be something from the custom shop.
