VAT is a bad idea, (((they))) will raise it every year. Tax imports, period. Get IRS gone, drop Education department and all the waste and overlap

Correct. VAT is a very bad idea. VAT is a concept embraced by Socialists. Costs of consumer goods skyrocket.

Of course a REPUBLICAN introduces the most citizen friendly piece of legislation of ALL AMERICAN HISTORY. Democrats are total fucking shit and need to be lynched in the streets.

I noticed the part that nobody talks about on this bill:

and enacting a national sales tax

Do you know how fucked up that will be? Ask anyone in Europe who pays VAT. You'll get more money in your paycheck but they will place taxes on EVERYTHING!! In the long run you'll have less money because you're being nickled and dimed to death with sales tax. This is quite possibly the worst idea ever. How about: "GET RID OF THE INCOME TAX AND NO NEW TAXES?"

More money in our paycheck in Europe? Hahahaha - great joke!! In the UK we already have income tax on our earnings AND VAT on most items of just over 20%. Everything that isn't nailed down is taxed and forget trying to run your own business as the Govt have now increased dividend tax so I'm now being scuppered there. I get taxed on my savings - which I've already paid income tax on. I could go on but it's fucking depressing enough as it is.

In Sweden VAT is 25% on most goods and services (otherwise 12 or 6). But before that, if you have a salary, before taxes, the employer pays about 1/3 in taxes. Then you pay a third of what's left in taxes. Then if you've been good and earned more than roughly 40k USD/year, you also pay a national tax that's 20-25%. Then, of course, there are more taxes, but these are the main ones. Lovely huh? 😁 🔫

And don't forget the extra "National Insurance" contributions that every worker has to pay (and every employer has to pay AS WELL for EVERY worker) which is an EXTRA tax just by a different name.

Oh, and Capital Gains Tax (because God forbid we actually make a gain that isn't taxed to the hilt).. and Inheritance Tax (Death/Estate Tax) which just taxes on EVERYTHING we have, that we've ALREADY been taxed on over and over...

Damn double taxation on the nation's most vulnerable. Senior citizens paid their taxes on the money they saved already, and that would make them pay taxes on it a second time when they spend it. Horrible.

doesn't sales tax already do such a thing? i mean sure it's "a different jurisdiction" but it's still being taxed on the same income, twice...

That's the whole point of the bill, you nincompoop!

No Medicare, SS, business tax (business to business sales aren't taxed), income tax, or payroll tax. Its all replaced by a sales tax that is only paid once on each item (used house/car? No tax). Illegals can't get out of it by getting paid under the table. If you don't buy anything and save everything you make, you pay negative taxes. It gets rid of tax returns and the IRS.

Yeah that is bad. I can't imagine Trump would go for that. But how about a flat tax? Why assume it means vat?

Its not a coincidence ... and people thinking that this "cannot pass" forget that everyone thought that Trump simply doesnt have a chance to become POTUS , ever . Yet , here we are ... in least expected scenario .

Did they introduce it last year too, when conservatives held the House, Senate , and WH?

A good point. Why not introduce it and sign it into law when they held the majority? Why wait till now?

It won't go anywhere because the Democrats run the House and they use the IRS to do their bidding. For example, they are the only people to even be able to think of a scheme where the IRS essentially supervised your health insurance coverage, two things that have nothing to do with each other. Amazingly, only a short while ago, the Republicans ran everything. Interesting they didn't think of this bill at that time, when it would have had some traction.

Duh.. bc we had Globalist rino R's. Thinkabout it. Trump's got the upper hand now. He perged the rinos and the one's that are left such as Romney are now Trump puppets. Do you really believe Trump would campaign for Romney if he wasn't going to play the role Trump wants him to play? This show is getting crazier by the minute! Nancy & Chuck are actually taking down their Party with loonacy & Romney's putting on his anti-Trump show. Great actors man.
