I too have current credentials in food safety and sanitation. My training was based on actual vectors of reported illness based on current case studies and not theoretical armchair bullshit. Veggies are racking up fatalities and pretending otherwise is literally killing people.

I was a food sanitarian in two different health departments and did food poisoning epidemiology. All of the deaths and hospitalizations involved meats. Where did you study. I graduated from Indiana University.

I'm not stupid enough to dox myself with easily verifiable information. You should delete what you just posted.

But sounds like you are an academic so what cases make it to you is going to be hand picked and not necessarily representative of general conditions or everything that is reported especially since most businesses are very quick to prevent escalation and handle food borne illness complaints in house.

I worked in the private sector so my training is more stringent because I had company liabilities to worry about. Public health department are completely unequipped to deal with contamination issues related to distribution centers and supply chains in a timely manner so they train people like me to fill the gap.
