I think you misunderstood what I said. If working minimum wage brings the home $10(ish) an hour, than a homemaker needs to provide more than $10 of value to the home. So it's not very effective to waste several hours of your time on something that'll barely have any value.
Your time would be better spent on something with more value. If the homemaker can't bring in more value than a minimum wage job, they might as well just get a minimum wage job instead of being a homemaker.
