I am trying to think of some, while my grandmother goes to the "ice box" to get a "tomato pie". ...I'm sure I'll think of several, though.

It's not a colloquialism, but my grandma always uses "what's her face" to refer to women whose name she forgets, or doesn't care to remember. "Felicia" is the term my friends and I use for names we forget, or don't care to remember.

When the sun is out and it rains: "The devil is beating his wife behind the kitchen door." but with a thick southern accent.

My grandma is a Jehovah's Witness, I don't think anything she says was ever amusing, wise, or relevant.

Every time someone asks my grandma when something will happen, she responds with "by and by." My grandmother is a very chill lady.

My great-uncle referred to me as a "tall drink o' water." To this day I have no idea what it means.

Maybe he was being literal. Humans are made of like 70% water or something.

Thanks Kelly, that's the nicest thing anyone's said to me on Voat.
