I'll say as a person of color myself, I do like seeing representation in my favorite shows and movies. That is, characters who actually have personalities and reasons to root for them. Also, these ''body diversity'' advocates fail to realize that as progressive as they try to be, they actually are promoting stereotypes in a sense when they have characters of color as fat. And as for being realistic, realistically no fatty is gonna be any kind of warrior/superhero/martial artist. Fat people simply lack the strength and stamina to be useful in a survival/disaster situation, and this is very much a thing in real life where both military and law enforcement suffer from the obesity epidemic.
