A good wife should be able to save her husband money, at least to an extent. I try to live a frugal lifestyle, but there's some things I just can't do (at least easily) without a wife. Let's use cooking and gardening as an example. I can try to cook everyday and grow most of my own food, but reality is I just don't have the time or willpower to get to the levels I wish I wish I was at.

Now a stay at home mom/wife can spend a couple hours to grow a huge garden, especially with the help of children. She also would have the time to cook everyday, instead of me coming home around 5pm just to make dinner. Obviously this doesn't mean I can't cook or help garden.

Similarly, she could repair clothing in a variety of ways. A simple patch. Creative repair. Lace embroidery. Regular embroidery.

Ultimately, there's no way she can make it cheaper for you should you already do all those things. However, she can make it far easier for you, and manage to find more money saving schemes.

Sounds like you have some major personality defects if you can't find the willpower to keep up a simple garden or cooking. Get a crock pot. And do it in the am before you go to work and it will be ready time you get home.

You're missing the point. It's not about cooking or gardening. It's about cooking every meal and gardening for most of your food. I've maintained small gardens in the past, but nothing extravagant. Unfortunately do to frequent work related trips, it's far harder to maintain even a small garden since everything dies if it doesn't get water for two weeks, leaving only the hardier and well established plants. As far as cooking goes, I do cook most of my dinners and a large portion of my lunches. But it's not always practical should I get off later than normal.

P.S. Read the last sentence again.

I have to harass the girlfriend to buy new clothes. She wears everything until it's falling apart.

Women used to be in charge of budgets. They had the time in the day to do the shopping and make sure she was thrifty with the money. Her husband worked hard to earn it and she works hard to make it last.

I don't think I've met a woman I'd trust with my money, like that.

My husband always says, "I trust you to be a good steward of our money". Really makes me think before making unnecessary purchases- I like that he trusts me and don't ever want to mess that up.

That's great. Being thrifty is a valued and rare skill.

Wtf why would it take 72 months to pay off a car. If its financed for that long you should be making extra payments toward the principal. It should only take you 3 years(36months) max to pay it off.

I’d argue though that most women don’t buy stuff that expensive because it’s way out of their price range. Of course they desire to though. If anything they spend more money on a bunch of smaller things that add up to be the same. Imagine having that much money though where the example in the photo was a bunch of smaller things that added up to even more than what your average American makes in an entire year or two.
