Yup.

Well, I'm on a tablet...

I had a band, while still in high school. We fucked around and even had an album cut. We looked the part and we got a recording contract with a major record label. They sent us on a tour down the eastern seaboard.

Then, I went to LA and I lost my band.

We got our forward and paid whatever we were owed for the tour. Initially, we rented different places but we all ended up living in a house that we trashed. We got a large sum of money, for our ages and the time.

We didn't step one foot in the studio.

I'm pretty sure we still owe the lable money.

We did exactly what you are thinking we did.

I eventually got some more money from my mom, so I could drive back across the country, dropping some of them off along the way. I don't remember the exact time frame, but I was signed up to join the Marines within just a few days. Way back then, I said I'd never play in another band. I didn't, until I needed the money to survive college. The GI Bill was kinda shitty back then.

I believe the statute of limitations would have passed.

Man, we did some stupid shit. It was also my first exposure to heroin.

Not gonna lie, there were some good times. I used to regret ever going, but I no longer do.

The band I have now is my first band since then. In every other instance, I've just been a member of the band. This one is mine. This is my band. I haven't done that since 1975.

I really never wanted to be in another band. Then, I got pretty poor. So, I went back to performing. I tried other odd job, but they all sucked too. So, I might as well get high, drunk, and laid. That was kinda my mentality and I really needed the money.
