This would be really sweet...IF the premise were sound. It is not.

Whoever started this painfully persistent proposal neglected to study the actual linguistic roots of the '-ment' suffix that result in the word 'government'.

I'm all for breaking the chains of 'mind control'. I suggest, though, that inaccuracy in language won't fortify freedom.

If gubernare + ment (mentes?) equals 'control of the mind', then what do the following words have to do with 'the mind'?

abandonment, abatement, abutment, adjustment, alignment, alimentary, allotment, apartment, comment, compartment, complement, concealment, condiment, department, development, enlargement, indictment, measurement, merriment, ointment, parchment, pigment, placement, raiment, recruitment, settlement, tenement, torment, tournament, treatment.

'Government' means 'mind control' as much a 'pigment' means 'pig brains'.

In 1850 People had the freedom to duel in the streets in front of the sheriff and the whole town.

Contracts can not be interfered with... That's real freedom.
