Just the basics, but you have to start somewhere, and just in case you're not big on reading, any of these will give you the most mileage. Hope it helps.

The Code to the Matrix - Sevan Bomar (free download). This book.breaks down how language has been used as a code, effectively making a fake matrix that exists onto of the real matrix (nature).

The Murder of Reality - Pierre Sabak. This book is about tracing world history through etymology. One of the only.books.that made me feel sick.

If you're looking for classic fantasy, I cannot recommend Raymond E Feist and David Eddings enough. The Riftwar saga is a masterpiece of world creation, and the Belgariad and Malloreon are all-around enjoyable.

The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan is also a great series, but it drags heavily around book 6, and the writing is incredibly dense. Feist and Eddings are like a delicious juicy burger with the lot and a good beer, while Jordan is like a 70 course degustation banquet.
