You gotta look more deeply at the situation. Eg Why weren't Clinton et al arrested as soon as DJT became POTUS? Because with the FBI, DOJ, Judiciary, and everyone else stacked on their side, absolutely nothing would come from it.
Gowdy had a snowflakes chance in Tahiti in getting any traction and conviction on Benghazi. All he would end up doing is making his own family a target of arkanacide, and be removed even more from any place where he could make an iota of difference.
Many folks have hung in there in a terrible situation, hoping and praying that someday, somehow, a change might come.
The other choice? Abandon the nation, abandon the victims, and say stuff it, I'm leaving.
The easy way, and the selfish way.
What would you do, seriously?
Think about how incredibly tightly the Cabal gripped all things for the last 4 years.

Your argument is precisely why I keep my mind open about Gowdy. He is most welcome to prove my doubts wrong.
Regarding abandoning the nation, I almost did. I was months from going ex-pat when some character named Trump pulled off a miracle. But I'm not an elected official like Trey is. There has been a century's worth of politicians who didn't speak out or do enough as the monstrosity that our statist government has become grew out of control. When you are elected to prevent this type of crap, prevent it!
