They work better because they are motivated from within. They are stubborn.

I never understood the autism slur for 4chan nerds. Autism is a kind a retardation, not the idiot savant rain man shit 4chan does.

Autists have lots of quirks. One of them (depending on the type of autistic you are) is a compulsive need to create order out of chaos. I think it suits them nicely.

You realize this is the argument the left uses to promote "diversity" hires

Yet through the chaos and the clamouring, the best manages to rise to the top.

I have a theory on this. You're absolutely correct on the computational power. 1000 random people will have an easier time than 10 choice people, even if there's a lot of crap thrown around.

So my theory is that 'the best' goes through several layers before it rises to the top. First, you have raw data everyone combs through. If someone finds something, they'll post it, most of which is shit. However, this layer is slightly more refined. Others will sift through it and pick out the good stuff, debate it, and talk about it. During this stage, others will create lists, charts, pictures, and screenshots to help out. Afterwards, people will make a semi-final or final compilation of the data, usually in easy to understand info-graphics.

exactly. im the idiot who rarely combs but does try to put 2 and 2 together and asks if there is any evidence suggesting 4.
